This poetically licensed documentary spends a night in a taxi, wandering the convoluted web of elevated highways, streets and alleys that is urban Shanghai, hoping to experience the city as perceived by its driver as he drifts sleeplessly though the night embodying the city’s paradoxical nature: both a city of dreams and one that never sleeps - A somewhat perennial nocturnal daydream.
