Propaganda Studio is a photography and production agency operating across East Asia. Founded and directed by photographer Tim Franco — a photographer and creative director who has a 20 years experience working in Asia including China, Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore.
we help brands create strong visual stories through a mix of Western creative sensibility and deep local expertise.
Our team brings together photographers, filmmakers, producers, and artists with long-term roots in Asia. With a strong understanding of both Western expectations and Asian cultural contexts, we bridge communication, aesthetics, and production workflows with ease.
Over the years, we have built a trusted network of highly skilled professionals across Korea, Japan, Greater China, and Southeast Asia — including production crews, fixers, casting teams, stylists, and location specialists. This regional structure allows us to deliver consistent quality across multiple markets, making it possible for brands to produce content in different countries while working with a single, reliable partner.
As a production house, we support projects end-to-end — from concept development and pre-production to on-set execution and final delivery — ensuring both creative coherence and production efficiency at every stage.
Our multilingual teams further support seamless collaboration, both in pre-production and on set, ensuring smooth coordination for international clients.
We specialise in commercial visual storytelling — photography and film projects that help brands express their identity with clarity and impact. Whether for luxury, retail, corporate, or editorial clients, our focus remains the same: delivering visually compelling work with strong narrative intention and efficient production.
At Propaganda Studio we coordinate international shoots from end to end —
including client communication, budgeting, crewing, casting and on-the-ground production support.
Tim Franco is a photographer, creative director and the founder of Propaganda Studio. With two decades of experience living and working across Asia, he combines editorial depth with commercial production expertise — fluent in Mandarin, with a working knowledge of Korean, and deeply connected to the creative and production landscapes of China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
Originally rooted in documentary photography — contributing to the New York Times, Time Magazine and the Wall Street Journal — Tim brings a narrative-driven approach to every commercial project. The belief that the best images tell a story, not just show a product, remains the foundation of everything Propaganda Studio produces.
Author of two books (Metamorpolis and Unperson), Tim has directed and produced campaigns for leading luxury and corporate brands across Asia, including the Jacquemus campaign with Jennie and production supervision of the Louis Vuitton Bridge Show in Seoul. He works as a bridge between international creative teams and Asian markets — bringing Western creative vision and deep local expertise to every project.
